Richard Butler is an enterprise organizational consultant, author, and business transformation expert at Rimagin GmbH. With more than 25 years of management experience, he has worked in leadership and consulting roles for numerous international companies including BOSCH, Ericsson, Ford Motor Company, Deutsche Telekom and Siemens.

He has guided organizations through complex transformations  and agile transitions, often working as a department manager and senior consultant in international environments. Drawing on his experience as a  PMP, 6-Sigma Green Belt, SPC 6.0 and process improvement professional (CMMI), he uses  structured methods and systems thinking to build a deep understanding of organizational structures, dynamics, and adaptive leadership.

Richard has developed software solutions for embedded systems, navigation, and telecommunications, and has facilitated countless value stream and Lean Portfolio Management workshops to help organizations gain clarity and control over how value flows through their business. He is the co‑author of the white paper “The Future Adaptive Organization,” which examines how organizations can become more adaptive in the face of constant change.

He has long been fascinated by how people interact with technology, especially through natural language interfaces. Since 2022, he has been designing and running training programs for and with AI, with a strong focus on the leadership and systemic aspects of introducing AI, building trust, and using it responsibly in everyday decision-making.

Richard is co-author of “Leading in the Age of AI,” to be released in February 2026, which explores how organizations can develop AI‑enabled adaptability and resilience. It provides practical approaches for understanding behavior,  designing adaptive structures, and developing the AI-leadership skills to thrive in an AI‑augmented world.

He speaks at conferences and webinars on topics such as  organizational adaptivity, value streams, and AI in leadership, sharing  practical patterns and pitfalls from large-scale transformations.  Richard is also the co‑founder of the DACH-SAFe-Treff Group,  a community that brings together practitioners from many major  organizations in the German-speaking region to exchange real-world  experiences with SAFe and agile transformations.
